What cardstock thickness do you use for business cards?
53Printers uses 16pt cardstock as the standard — this is a thick, premium stock that feels substantial in hand and doesn't bend easily in wallets or pockets. It's significantly heavier than the 14pt used by many budget printers.
What file format should I submit for business cards?
We accept PDF, AI (Adobe Illustrator), PSD, PNG, JPG, and SVG files. For best results, submit a PDF or AI file at 300 DPI with 0.125-inch bleed on all sides and text at least 0.125 inches from the edge.
Can you add a QR code to my business cards?
Yes — for an additional $15, we'll add a scannable QR code linked to your website, LinkedIn, or any URL you choose. The QR code is professionally placed and sized for reliable scanning.
What's the difference between gloss and matte finish?
Gloss finish has a shiny, reflective surface that makes colors pop — especially good for photography and vivid designs. Matte finish is smooth and non-reflective, giving a more sophisticated and professional look. Both are included in the base price.
How long does delivery take to Houston or Cypress, TX?
Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days from file approval to your door. Rush orders are ready in 1–2 business days. We ship via UPS/FedEx — local pickup in Cypress, TX is also available.
Can I order fewer than 100 business cards?
Our minimum quantity is 100 cards. This is the industry minimum for offset printing quality. For small test runs, we recommend 100 cards at our lowest price tier.
