What is a DTF heat transfer?
DTF (direct-to-film) prints your full-color design onto a transparent film and bonds it with adhesive powder. You heat-press it onto fabric for a soft, stretchy, durable finish that won't crack or peel — works on cotton, polyester, and blends.
What can I press it onto?
T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, tote bags, backpacks, hats, sports uniforms, and more — any cotton, polyester, or blended fabric.
What sizes can I order and how is it priced?
Enter your design's width and height (up to 22″ on one side) and how many copies you need. We nest the copies across a 22″-wide roll and bill only the length used, at $2.00 per linear inch (single-sided), with a $20 minimum. For example, an 8″ × 11″ design is billed at 8 linear inches; ten 4″ × 4″ copies nest into about 8 linear inches.
How do I apply the transfer?
Set your press to 300–320°F for cotton/blends (260–270°F for 100% polyester). Pre-press the garment 5–10 seconds, position the transfer and press 10–15 seconds, let it fully cool, then cold-peel the film. Cover with parchment or Teflon and press again 10–15 seconds to finish.
How do I send my artwork?
Upload it right on this page, or choose "I'll email files later" and send it to files@53printers.com with your order number. A 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background or a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) gives the best result.
How fast will I get it?
Production takes 1–3 business days, plus about 1 business day for delivery. Shipping is a flat $10. Care: wait 24 hours before the first wash, then wash inside-out in cold water and tumble dry low.
